GTE - Gas Transmission Europe

GTE is one of the three columns of Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) - the European association of the transmission, storage and LNG terminal operators. GTE currently represents 35 transmission system operators from 25 countries. One of the objectives of GTE is to voice the views of its members vis-à-vis the European Commission, the regulators and other stakeholders. GTE is actively contributing to the creation of a single European gas market that is underpinned by a stable and predictable regulatory framework conducive to investments. GTE is committed to promoting a fully operational internal gas market by looking at ways to increase market transparency and improve interoperability of the transmission systems with a view to enhancing and facilitating cross-border gas exchanges. It is one of the major European platforms for experience exchange and knowledge sharing between gas transmission system operators.
