EMC 2021 is held under the auspices of the Cypriot Energy Ministry and is supported by the CYPRUS HYDROCARBONS COMPANY (CHC), the National Oil Company whose President, Professor Toula Onoufriou, is also Head of the EMC Steering Committee.
The Mediterranean basin has proved to be a world-class energy source with huge hydrocarbon potential. As a result, Cyprus has become one of the most attractive energy destinations in the Mediterranean, with significant business opportunities in a unique investment climate and a booming economy. Significant development and investment in cleaner energy in the Eastern Mediterranean makes EMC the perfect platform for connecting with the leading natural gas, renewables, and hydrocarbons stakeholders in the region.
EMC has support from the entire oil & gas, and energy sectors and has given rise to many exploration activities in Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean region. The event has generated a great degree of industry interest, with the exhibition hosting 150 exhibiting companies and around 3000 international visitors. The conference will be divided into 6 plenary sessions with 28 technical sessions and 20 workshops for around 900 international delegates.
The exhibition will welcome companies operating in the following sectors: OIL & GAS, MIDSTREAM & SHIPPING, RENEWABLES (HYDRO, SOLAR, WIND, GEOTHERMAL & BIOMASS) & POWER, NATURAL GAS, ENERGY TRANSITION (HYDROGEN, BIOFUELS & E-FUEL, CCUS).
EMC 2021 is the setting to discover new regional cooperation opportunities and synergies for the whole energy value chain.
