3 Days, 8 sessions, more than 20 speakers

From 19 th to 21 st May 2021, GIE organised this event to covering latest energy news and tolearn all about the policy recommendations and gas infrastructure innovations that will help deliver EU Green Deal’s goal.
4 policy sessions on dedicated topics were organised, each of them accompanied by respective Innovative Labs that bring into the spotlight ready-for-climate-neutrality projects of the gas infrastructure operators.

What is the most suitable regulation for the new gases? What are the new disruptive energy models, and will the role of long-term storage be? What are the latest techs to monitor and reduce methane emissions? How to best support the Central Eastern and South Eastern regions in their decarbonisation? How will adapted LNG terminals be used for imports of hydrogen carriers?…

Knowledge-sharing is key . It stimulates innovative thinking and makes scientific discoveries happen. And that’s why #GIEnergy Days will gather energy experts from all horizons .

During these 3 days, we offered the opportunity to listen to holistic discussions of international leaders from the European Parliament, the European Commission, the European energy regulator, the academia and the energy industry. Questions and on the role of the gas infrastructure in the energy transition from the audience were covered in each session..

Innovative Lab sessions

A conversation with the boldest creators from this energy transition was available though our Innovation Lab session, discovering the latest energy technologies revolutionising decarbonisation.
